The Blog

When Adrienne and Matt first came to see me last year about shooting their wedding, I was totally smitten. These two have a connection that is obvious the minute you meet them, and it came shining through again a few weeks ago when we met up to do their engagement shoot. Matt is super funny and makes Adrienne laugh, and really, what else do you need?

We had the entire dock to ourselves, and the light was amazing.

Adrienne has the honest-to-God longest eyelashes I have ever seen. So great.

A few days before our shoot, I drove by this super-cool tractor on the other side of town. I knew Adrienne and Matt wanted their shoot to be near the water, but I couldn’t resist asking if they wouldn’t mind trying a few shots in the tractor field. Matt lit up like a Christmas tree and practically ran out the door. Okay then.

Joe the puppy joined them for a few.

A complete natural in front of the camera.

Thank you, Adrienne and Matt, for bringing your smiles and wonderful energy to our shoot. I can’t wait for your wedding day!

Bree greeted me at the door last week and immediately showed me her red bow, her red dress, and her red shoes. She was very proud. She was also very, very cute. A heartbreaker in training…

I love when little kids have all this energy. The shoot just flows and all I have to do is keep up!

One of my favorites…

Or maybe this one. Could she be any sweeter?

Her yard was perfect for some spring color.

Bree’s mom Muffy stood behind me and sang, which had everybody laughing.

Gorgeous Muffy with her baby (youngest of FIVE, which: Bravo…).

Thank you Muffy, and thank you Bree — it was amazing to hang out with you!

Oh Brody. You make my heart go thumpity.

This was my third shoot with Brody and his family, and everyone brought their A game. Just as I expected they would.

One of my favorites:

Very proud to be swinging all by himself. VERY proud.

My enormous thanks to Lindy, Billy, Brody, and Colby for being so much fun to hang out with. See you all again this summer! xo

After a bit of weather-related stutter I had the opportunity to shoot the tremendously fabulous and fun Chloe and Charlotte last weekend. The sun knew what we were up to and came out JUST for us. While mom Teresa got her makeup done by world-famous Kelly O’Keefe of Tryst Studio in Hingham (formerly Blush Wedding Day), Chloe and I found a spot of light on the staircase. She’s clearly an old pro at this.

While dad Greg got Charlotte up from her nap, we went outside with a big ol’ bucket of bubbles.

It didn’t take Charlotte long to warm up. She is one cute kid.

Y’all know I’m loving that red door.

After a bit we took off for the fields to play among the flowers. These are some of my favorites.

This is the way a family portrait should be. Living!

Nothing wrong with adding the coolest truck EVER, though.

Charlotte cracked herself up.

Seriously, how gorgeous is this family?

Clearly much of the beauty comes from Teresa, who just glowed. Her fancy lashes from Caitlin Rand didn’t hurt. SO pretty.

The girls had a blast in that truck. I asked Greg if he had thought of renting it out as a prop for movies (or photo shoots??). Hopefully he’ll give me a cut for coming up with the idea 😉

A few more, pure springtime. A huge thank you to the entire family for being so much fun and for driving all over the place with me just to find the perfect shade of pink! xo
