I am blessed to have many people in my life who are musically talented; being surrounded by songwriters and musicians makes me genuinely happy. I have a guitar that I have a bit of a Walter Middy-esque attachment to — one day I hope to be one tenth as good as I think I am after I’ve had a cocktail (or two) and am strumming along with the guys on You Tube. My friends, though (and they know who they are), are GOOD.
When I was writing sunset pig, I would often post a song or video when my navel-gazing failed to produce something interesting (frequently, I believe). I love finding new music online, and I love it when people tell me that they discovered someone new because they heard it first on my blog. I’m certainly no Aquarium Drunkard or MOKH, but I love to share what I find from time to time.
So, music monday. Something like that. Ryan Adams certainly isn’t unfamiliar, but he’s in heavy rotation on my iTunes right now, and he inspired me to go and dig out some of my favorite guitar photos. Listen, look, enjoy.
