It’s been awfully quiet around here lately, no? I’d love to tell you that it’s because I’ve been jet-setting with celebrities or catching the first chair at Whistler, but it’s really just because I’ve been busy driving back and forth to IKEA in support of my friend Kelly and her top secret project which, in addition to many wonderful things, will have a surplus of allen wrenches when it opens. Free to a good home.
(Check back here in a few weeks for the big reveal…)
I did get to spend some time with the under-10 set yesterday afternoon — my brother and his family are participating in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge again this year, and they needed some new team photos. Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with all forms of intellectual disabilities. This Challenge is one of the major fundraising events which allow Best Buddies to continue running and expanding their important programs. Team Duxbury is made up of six families, each of which has a child with Down Syndrome. They are so fortunate to live in the same town and to have a built-in network/support system of families who all have something so special and unique in common. The team will be cycling 100 miles, from Boston to Hyannisport, in support of the lasting friendships and open community that Best Buddies fosters throughout their programs.
The Team’s fundraising goal is $50,000. Please consider making a donation to this wonderful cause! Here are some of the faces you’ll be helping:
Say hello to Molly! She likes to chatter and smile and is such a happy girl.
This is Sean. The minute he walked into the house, he hugged everyone in sight, which: isn’t that they way it should be?

My beautiful Macylicious. I am infinitely blessed to have her in my life, even though she really had no interest in posing for me yesterday. She had COMPANY. She was BUSY.

Isabella is just a tiny little thing, but her personality is large, especially when she flashes her amazing smile.
This is Emily — she stole my heart the moment she walked in the door.
And finally, Mister Dylan, who showed me last summer what a great swimmer he was, and who was happy to pose for me when I told him that he was just like a movie star! Check out the awesomeness.

Emily and her sister Megan:
Sean and his super cool siblings:
And finally, the whole crew.
I am so grateful for your continued support of the organizations that touch my life.

suzie murphy - Lis – the pictures are great! I want to order one of Molly for Father’s day for my husband. I love the size the square frames Sarah has hanging in her hallway (are they 14″ x 14″?? – the ones with the fabulous white matting). Can you let me know what that size would cost? I would love to also order some wallet size too! Do you do any laminating of wallet size? I hope I turn out to be one of your best customers!
love,
suzie
