the charlie t.

I have wrested back my brain from the total mind control of all things 100 degrees and over. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or if it’s because the drone of the air conditioner knocked me senseless, but I just could not function properly in that heat wave last week. Couldn’t work, couldn’t clean, couldn’t hold meaningful conversations; when it gets that hot, if you don’t want to accept a blank stare for an answer, you may as well not even bother talking to me. Fortunately, Charlie was cute enough to break through the torpor. How she managed to stay cool and happy throughout our steamy shoot is a mystery, but keep doin’, baby.

Laurie’s dad was kind enough to bring the charlie t. around to the Yacht Club so we could shoot on Charlie’s namesake vessel. She’s a very proud captain:

I’m on a boat!

“Hello! Yes, my boat! Isn’t she awesome? Like me?”

You know I luuuuuuuuurrrrrrve this one:

I swear this girl stays happy no matter what. It was like standing on the surface of the sun out on this marsh, but she (and Laurie and Dave) just kept smiling!

Thanks, family. Can’t wait for the next one!
